Reflection My proposal for the class was to flip the classroom. I had done some research on "Flipped Classroom" in another class before EDU 777 02. For this class, I started implementing slowly with my students. My style of teaching is, I Do, We Do, You Do. It has always worked fine. After learning about flipped classrooms, I started introducing note videos. My goal is to transform and implement my classroom for next semester. So far, I can say that the note videos have helped. I started including the videos for students to use to "catch up" or "review." At first, I had students complain, but later on, I had students say that they liked the videos better than having me teach directly. This was a positive aspect because I thought it was going to be hard for students to be responsible for their learning, especially on days that they were absent. My technology plan is to switch the old traditional teaching to a new, brighter, and engaging approach of flipping the classroom. I started thinking of doing this switch ever since I was introduced to this idea back in August in one of my technology classes. At the beginning of the year, it seemed like a good idea because students were coming back to remote learning and were familiar with watching videos and doing online work. However, once school started I realized students were academically behind. They also were not familiar with having expectations, rules and procedures. They thought that what they were doing during remote learning will still work for in-person learning, which was cheating their way through.
